STUNNED…

….yes, I feel SURE that the one who SO adamantly tried to convince me that “there was no way he would lose at Indy” is absolutely SHOCKED, SHAKING, and SPEECHLESS after the SHAKE up at the Brickyard today! 

Let me give you a little recap…  well, maybe I SHOULD make ABC tell ya exactly what hit the fan today!!!  It all STARTED with Mr. Newman… SPLAT!  Then, Mr. Johnson… up in SMOKE!  Mr. Busch losing his ass end!  Then, Mr. FedEx…LOL…STALLING on pit road and unable to get the car reSTARTED, losing a lap!!!  I was STARTLED as I watched… one mishap after another for the one that was SO SURE he would be SNAKE eyes today!  Well, I SNATCHED the win… and, now you are SCRATCHING your head in disbelief, aren’t you?

Don’t feel too SAD, I beat a lot of other STUDS today in my fantasy league as well!!  Yep, won there, too!!  Maybe SOMEDAY you guys will take me SERIOUS when it comes to SPORTS…especially my NASCAR!!  SURPRISED that the trophy STAYS put?  Don’t be… it’ll SIT right on its SPECIAL SPOT until SEASONS’S end… at which time it will be moved to its permanent home… a SHOWCASE, SO everyone can SEE… 

LOL, you SAID you were going for SEVEN in a row!!!  When does that START?  SORRY, ABC… Lyndee takes Indy by STORM, SEVERING the competition by 189 points, SPARKY…let that numerology SINK in!!!

I hope you enjoyed the race… it truly was a SPECTACLE!!!  I even called a friend and had her laugh for me… SILLY, I know!  But, had I have laughed, I would have jinxed myself… and that was not happenin’ today!

SO, my STATS read 10-10… all tied up!!  How about yours?  SURE….

Back at the Pocono’s next week…and there will be a SHINING STAR in victory lane there… yes, ME!  Don’t think you are going to repeat 6/10… your STREAK has been SNAPPED!

- Michael Vick is GUILTY, I hope he gets attacked by a pack of pit bulls.  These allegations and video I saw, just SICKENS me.

- the children’s book, Goodnight Moon, was never read to you, you are missing out on a true classic…  GET IT, you are NEVER too old!!  The catch, have someone really SPECIAL read it to you.

- I could change anything in the world, it would be that people be better at conflict negotiations.

- Hillary Clinton wins the democratic nomination, I will work even harder for the Republican nominee next year!

- I don’t win Indy this week, the score will be 11-9… ya know, look at those numbers… very significant!

- you could do anything you wanted to, what would it be?

- I could do anything I wanted, it would be to quit work, no offense, and give my time to children’s charities and projects.

- you’ve never seen the movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, you need to!!  Doesn’t just have to be viewed during the Christmas holidays!

- you haven’t called the Luscious One, you really should!! 

- I could say night-night to anyone… it would be YOU!!!

NO NASCAR today…

BUMMER!  However, it was a helluva finish at the British Open… sure would have liked to see Sergio win… Sorry about that!!

So, I spent a couple of hours this morning with my parents, a Sunday kind of thing to do!  Had a great breakfast with them, not missing my usual Cherrios and banana!!  Nice to take a break from the “same ole’, same ole’” every once in awhile… give your taste buds a little flavor explosion of sorts…

Sorry, I know I haven’t been taking calls much this past week, but I have had some very personal business to tend to… however, it has been a totally AWESOME week… cannot emphasize that enough!  I would not exchange the happenings of the past week for all of the “tea in China!” Nope, no way…. ain’t happenin’… “yeah”… “sure”…  I hear ya sayin’! 

Anyway, I am going to sign in here in a bit… just wanted to drop by and say HELLO…

I am going to be playing some Blackjack online, so if you have any “pointers” or sage advice for the one and only, please do call and share!!

Ode to the FATHEAD

A very LONG box arrived at my door

By a man clothed in brown, I’ve seen him before.

Much to my surprise it was much larger than thought

What a MEGA machine of a toy I had bought.

I stood in the doorway my mouth wide open

The UPS man said it’s heavy, I’ll bring it in.

He set it on the floor of my living room

Unwrapping the monstrosity took me almost til noon.

Not what I had expected in my new play toy

It came with a roller to straighten out the poor boy.

Days on end, he spent cramped in a box

No wonder there were wrinkles covering his cock.

Three of us it took to take care of this FATHEAD

Bringing him back to life and then putting him to bed

A friend sent me this email…and, while it holds some truth, why don’t you guys let me know….

Men Are Just Happier People

 
What do you expect from such simple creatures?
 
Your last name stays put.  The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves.  Chocolate is just another snack.  You can be President. You can never be pregnant.  You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.  You can wear NO shirt to a water park.  Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal.  You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky.  You don’t have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.  Same work, more pay.  Wrinkles add character.  Graying hair adds attraction. Wedding dress~$5000.  Tux rental~$100. People never stare at your chest when you’re talking to them.  The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected.  New shoes don’t cut, blister, or mangle your feet.  One mood all the time.  Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks.
 
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.  You can open all your own jars.  You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.  If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.  Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.  Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.  You almost never have strap problems in public.  You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.

Everything on your face stays its original color.  The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck.  You can play with toys all your life.  Your belly usually hides your big hips.  One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons.  You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.  You can “do” your nails with a pocket knife.  You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.  You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.

No wonder men are happier.

True Colors…

I know this post is a little off the beaten path, however, you know me by now!  You all know that when something weighs heavily on my mind, writing is my best therapy…

Amazing, how throughout our lives we cross paths with those that we feel are genuine and sincere, honest and heartfelt, appreciative and accepting…the list goes on.  A bond is formed over the years… you go out of your way to help in many ways… emotionally and financially… helping them to jump life’s hurdles… always lending a hand and an ear… despite the fact that this person you consider a friend has, on more than one occasion let you down… whether it be by hanging with people that you know are less than law abiding, not reciprocol of the friendship bond, jealousy actions when they know you are doing well and maybe they aren’t, or maybe just not there like a friend should be.

So, you give this/these people the benefit of the doubt…maybe they are having a bad day, maybe they aren’t as fortunate as yourself, perhaps the stresses of their shortcomings are becoming more they can handle and just don’t have it in themselves to be the kind of friend to you that you are to them?  Who knows? I suppose there are a million and one reasons WHY this happens…

All I can say is… I think it is rather TASTELESS for people to introduce their disgruntlements to a circle of people who have NO knowledge of a given situation… only hearing one side of a story… but, you know what?  The problem doesn’t LIE with me, it is the opinion of ONE… I am sure the WHOLE story has not been shared… of just how much I GAVE this person… helped out of binds, more than once… and even was given the credit of changing their life in a HUGE way…

Geeze, how does one harbor so much hatred after a longstanding friendship, or so I thought?  I guess it is something I just will NEVER understand!  In any event, NEVER wishing ill will on the person(s) who have disappointed me, just hopeful that someday the obvious jealousy will vanish from their heart(s) and they can move on in life… striving to be all they can be, and in the process learn and realize that airing dirty laundry to strangers is just downright SAD!
